This feature has been a long time in coming, but it's finally here - and it didn't have to wait for me to have "nothing to do and a staff to do it with" - surprise, surprise!
Well, this is enough typing in a db window to test word-wrapping and all. If you see this, it's working :)

Hello guestbook!
Please use this form to write your own entry into the guestbook. If you want
to make an entry for everyone to read, use the Public
Comment field. If you only want to make a private comment to me, use
the Private Comment field. Feel free to write
entries in both fields, if you wish.
If you want to write a long Public Comment, you
can break it into paragraphs by entering a blank line where you want a
paragraph break to occur. Entering a single newline (i.e., press "Enter" once)
will put a line break into the text: What you enter next will be at the start
of the next line. If you don't enter any newlines, the text of your entry will
wrap to fit the page.
Note that submitting a guestbook entry does not automatically add it to what
is displayed here: Your entry is emailed to me, and if I find the public
comment acceptable, I will add it to this page. (It would be nice if you
could just add your comment, but there are too many miscreants using forms
such as this to spread SPAM on the Internet...)
For your records, we will send a copy of your guestbook entry to your email
address when you submit this form. We will also record your IP address (18.117.105.230/27122) with your entry.
